Plot:

Dom, now a recovering alcoholic, lives in the countryside, attempting to build a peaceful life with his wife and children. Luke, on the other hand, has isolated himself, unable to shake the guilt and fear that plague him daily. The two have not spoken since their return, their friendship fractured by the shared trauma.

One evening, Dom receives a package with no return address. Inside is a photograph of the old lodge where they took refuge during their escape, now in ruins, along with a note that reads, “It is not over.” At the same time, Luke begins to experience terrifying visions of the forest and the ancient god-like creature that hunted them.

Realizing they are being drawn back to where it all began, Dom and Luke reluctantly reunite. They agree to return to Sweden, determined to confront whatever still lingers in the dark woods. They are joined by Anna, a folklore professor specializing in Norse mythology, and Erik, a hardened guide familiar with the area.

As they venture deeper into the wilderness, the group encounters disturbing signs that the forest is alive with something ancient and vengeful. Strange symbols are carved into trees, and they find remnants of other victims who have met horrific fates.
