“One’s a warrior. One’s a wiseguy. They’re two Los Angeles cops going after Japan’s top mobster…Feet first!”

Los Angeles. A city where the line between glamour and grit blurs beneath the California sun. Detective Ray “Bullet” Vargas was all grit—a no-nonsense, battle-hardened war vet turned street cop. With a reputation for fists-first diplomacy, Vargas embodied raw power. He was the “warrior.” On the other side of town, Detective Tony “Smooth” D’Angelo used charm, wit, and a smooth-talking tongue to win over informants and suspects alike. He was the wiseguy.

When the infamous Yakuza crime boss Takeshi “The Ghost” Nakamura set his sights on taking control of LA’s underground, it triggered a city-wide crackdown on organized crime. The Ghost had ties to everything—drugs, weapons, human trafficking. But no matter how close the LAPD got, Nakamura always slipped through their fingers, leaving bodies and cryptic messages in his wake.

Desperate to take him down, the LAPD’s brass decided to pair two detectives who couldn’t be more different: Bullet and Smooth.
