Beasts of No Nation 2 (2025)

Idris Elba | Abraham Attah | Kurt Egyiawan | Jude Akuwudike

Set several years after the original, Beasts of No Nation 2 finds Agu (Abraham Attah) struggling to rebuild his life after surviving as a child soldier.

Now living in a fragile post-war settlement under UN protection, Agu works as a translator for aid workers, including NGO doctor Dada Goodblood (Jude Akuwudike).

When a new warlord emerges, rallying former child soldiers into a dangerous militia, Agu is torn between protecting his new life and confronting the darkness of his past. The imprisoned Commandant (Idris Elba) becomes a key figure, as political factions debate whether to execute him or use his influence to negotiate peace. Kurt Egyiawan plays a UN official who believes Agu is the only one capable of convincing the militia to stand down.

The journey takes Agu back into war-torn territory, forcing him to face old comrades, some of whom now lead violent raids against civilians. The climax is a tense stand-off in a village square, where Agu must decide whether to pick up a gun again or find another path to peace. The resolution is bittersweet, showing that survival is as much about living with your choices as it is about escaping death.
